SxSE to NxNW
It seems that my life might be at a major turning point, so I’ll fill you in on few of the great things that are happening right about now.
- Jamie and I officially started making stuff under the Bland Hack banner and it rules. Our first shoot was this Saturday and it went swimmingly. Hopefully we’ll have the bloody results up on the internet soon.
- Single life is getting pretty sweet. I feel like I’m finally getting a hold of all this bullshit flirty stuff and am getting better at actually introducing myself to strangers and making small talk. We’ll see if that actually results in anything.
- I’m about to embark on my most ambitious New Year’s resolution ever: learn Dutch. I’ve (clearly) been putting this off for a long time but am excited to start hardcore this week.
- In love with True Blood. Much better the second time around. Really starting to fall in love with good TV. I haven’t had this much appointment viewing since high school. Hopefully this will push me to write those spec scripts and get a job on a real show.
- I’m currently working on two lengthy fiction projects: a semi-autobiographical novel about the misadventures of a 24-year-old good-for-nothing and a short sci-fi story inspired by my trip to D.C. that I think could make a great graphic novel. Writing is fun!
- I’m starting to put the pieces together for a way out of Atlanta for a good, long while. It might be something far different than what I had imagined, but the more I think about it, the better it seems. I am of course talking about a Mormon mission trip.
